What made you apply to BC?

What made you apply to Boston College, and if you are attending (or going to attend), what made you choose it!?

My son applied for the following reasons:

Academic Reputation

Location

Jesuit Education

Career Prospects

School spirit primarily athletic teams

Father is an alumnus

There may be better schools acadmically and there are some that have more scenic campuses and win more athletic championships but Boston College is as close to the total package as there is in any College or University in America. BC will provide you with four of the happiest and most rewarding years of your life. You will make friendships there that will last a lifetime.

school spirit,
smaller but not too small
east coast (coming from CA)
campus that is close to the city but is not actually in it
pretty campus
good rep and academics
sports teams

Location!!! (always wanted to be in the city, fell in love with Boston.)

Sports (Avid sports fan–want the incredible sports experience.)

Competition (My brother goes to Notre Dame, figured why not apply at a rival?) hahaha

The College Experience- I totally feel that Boston College is the place for me. I felt this as soon as I stepped foot on campus. Nothing could even compare for me.

what made me apply? nothing really, i had never heard much about it until my mom put it on the list of schools i should look at. LOVED it after visiting but never thought i would get in.

what made me go? being near a city but having a secluded campus, amazing academics, geographically diverse student body, SPORTS, beautiful and small-ish campus, work hard party hard attitude (being honest)

im a sophomore now =) and this year is even better than last year.

My son chose BC primarily for (in no particular order): size, location, academics, campus atmosphere.
