Why do you like Princeton better? (This is just a question because I'm still narrowing down my college list). How is it compared to Harvard, Yale, and Columbia, and the other highly selective schools? Especially in terms of music, science, personalities, etc.

I didn't just apply to Princeton. I applied H/Y/P/D because I'd be happy all of those places, despite being very different schools. That's just 4/14 that I'm currently applied to (probably will increase in number by 1 or 2 before January 1).

Wow DrMike87 that's going to be a lot of work!... just out of curiousity, what are you favorite things about each school (What do you like about Princeton, Harvard, Yale, etc.). Just wondering because it might help me with my college choices. :) Thanks for your help!

Ideally, Dartmouth for research - I had an amazing internship in the Houston Medical Center as a cancer researcher, and Dartmouth likes that, and can help with the continuation of that/make a hefty contribution to it.

Princeton/Harvard/Yale - Overall, I loved the environments, I have really good friends that went to each, and the schools can offer me everything I need to be happy/get to my goal in life. Dartmouth's inhospitable environment is compensated for by the research stuff.

I'm the kinda guy that didnt go ED anywhere, cause it'd lock out all my other options to the 13 other schools. Also, lots of my schools have 7 year MD programs, which would save me $40,000 and you have to apply regular to apply to them.

Good luck with where you're applying. (all my stuff is in so i'm just worrying at this point)

Thanks so much DrMike for your reply! I'll be spending the next two weeks getting apps in. :) What was inhospitable about the Dartmouth environment?

I applied to Princeton ED because it offered best balance between an excellent engineering program, which is where I would get my career, and top notch history/political science department, which is where I would learn for the sake of learning, because I love that kind of stuff. Its far enough from home to be a good change, but only an hour from tons of relatives that I can visit if I need some home cooking or stuff like that. To me, Princeton is the best combination of sciences and humanities.
