Why do you like Yale better? (This is just a question because I'm still narrowing down my college list). How is it compared to Harvard, Princeton, and Columbia, and the other highly selective schools? Especially in terms of music, science, personalities, etc.

i applied early to yale because i loved the residential college system, its very close to home (about 45 minutes away, and this is v. important to me), and the intangible feeling I had every time i visited.

People seemed more interesting. Also, I actually didn't fall asleep during the info session, which is usually really boring. LOOOOved the campus. And all that Kit416 said. collegebound123, yale is a great music program.

Well, if you want to study music, the (relatively) new music library in Sterling Memorial is gorgeous.

As for me, I'm going to study architecture, so Yale's atmosphere was perfect for me. :) Haha, that's not why I want to go, though. As Kit said, the residential college system is amazing and I got an intangible feeling on campus. There is a definite sense of tradition and community...the atmosphere, combined with the academics, won me over.

bump..........

Because I went crazy and actually thought I had a chance of getting in. Whatever...

Aww, ivy...why didn't you write about your photographic memory? ;)
