What made you choose your major?

Not necessarily just the career aspects of it, but personally, why are you interested in your particular field? and if your not passionate about it or any major, why?

I like playing games.

Math = playing games better. Plus, I actually like solving the problems/writing the proofs sometimes.

i like cutting open dead things

biology.

2 weeks before application deadline, I didn’t know have any idea what I wanted to do and it was the most selective program that I didn’t need ECs and reference letters to get into.

Neuroscience

I like drawing and working with photoshop to edit my photos therefore…

My major is graphic design.

My high school economics teacher made us read articles on the financial crisis and even gave a lecture on financial economics (even though it wasn’t part of the curriculum). He even touched on the subject of financial derivatives.

That was back in 2008. When applied for college, I picked either economics or finance.

Now, I am majoring in finance. Of course, I have yet to actually learn anything about finance…

Linguistics, because I was freaking crazy. O_o

I’m switching back to English. I like reading, analyzing, and writing papers. I’m applying to graduate school for speech language pathology, though. I want to work with children in a school setting and/or possibly stroke victims in a hospital setting.

I like thinking and having people think I’m somehow smart

Philosophy

I like to travel and stay at hotels. Imma be honest, I’m not really into customer service. Like come on who loves providing customer service and dealing with people? Not that many people, exactly.

Hotel Management

Education

My high school science teacher was super cool and awesome and sparked the passion in me to teach.

I like… pretty much nothing.

Business Adm.

I’ve always loved languages and words.

Linguistics

I’m not 100% decided, but econ is just so intuitive and easy, and I really enjoy it, so that’s probably where I’m headed.

Actuarial science

High starting salary and the potential to make over 200k down the line

I’ve always wanted to work at Micky D’s

Philosophy

I’ve always had a passion for what I do.

My major is Clitoris Research.

::spits out coffee::

I like the prospect of creating evil maniacal pink robots named Tim.

Mechanical Engineering.

One of my passions is for psychology, because I promote an extremely open, accepting, non-judgmental lifestyle, and I want to have the credibility to make bold accusations about the mislabeling of various supposedly abnormal behaviors. I’m especially interested in sexual psychology, because I believe our culture’s tendency towards sexual conservatism (in more than one way) is actually a detriment to safety and happiness. I also hate the misunderstanding of mental “illness,” where people believe there are physiological/genetic abnormalities that cause a variety of abnormal behaviors that actually are just a matter of conditioning and/or cultural normality. I hate that people are convinced by drug companies/psychiatrists to become dependent on medication, when the real sources of problems are dysfunctional lives. And finally, I hate that something as bogus as religion has so much influence in the world, and I would like to use my future knowledge of psychology as one tool to put a stop to it.

So yeah… Yay psychology!.. >_>;

^ because Sigmund Freud telling me I have an innate desire to have sexual relations with my mom is soooooo not bogus.
