I would like to get into medical school and was wondering what major I should go for. I was thinking of biological sciences or neurobiology physiology and behavior both at UC Davis. What do you suggest? I know major does not matter for medical school, but I heard in one of these majors it is easier to maintain a higher gpa. Which would that be in your opinion? Thank you.
You should select a major that will also serve as a backup in case Medical school does not happen. If you look at the courses required for each major, neither will be easy since the Pre-Med along with major requirements contain several weeded classes.
What are your interests? Biological sciences is a popular and impacted major at UCD but does not have good post undergrad job prospects. Neurobiology might have better job prospects but just like Biology, would require a Graduate degree although both majors would help you fulfill the Medical requirements.
@Sirius_BlackLion: I moved your original post from the UC Davis dorm discussion thread to your own discussion thread so all posts will be related your questions. NPB (Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavoir) https://npb.ucdavis.edu/ is an extremely popular pre-med major at Davis.
