Hey there,

I'm just curious, especially you EDers, what did you choose as your intended major when applying to Columbia? I applied as a Spanish major :) It wouild be interesting to see if anyone else also applied that.

mechanical engineering

Biology\Anthropology\Urban Studies

Education.

Political Science… Yep I’m screwed haha

International Relations and a minor in Philosophy

@lemontree i don’t believe there is an international relations major at Columbia (I would have done it if there were, and trust me I search hard to see if there was one). Also, Columbia doesn’t have minors, although you can do a “concentration” on a topic.

Classics, concentration in Environmental Science

Applied math. I saw the chart of graduates’ final majors in 2010, and only 2 graduates got a degree in applied math.

Computer Engineering

biochemistry/neuroscience and behavior/biology :]

Neuroscience and behavior/ Finance

lol @Columbiafan … well, even though it’s a supposedly popular major, maybe you will be a minority this year… I haven’t seen a single polisci major posted yet :)

Sustainable Development anyone? This major, the Core, and Silicon Alley were the driving factors in my decision to ED.

Math/EconMath/Physics are my top three right now, with an intention to do concentrations in several languages :D

Economics, though my second was political science and I think I talked about it a bit more in my essay, erk. Either way I feel I’m with you, columbiafan.

Computer Science.

Engineering

financial economics/human rights

English and Economics. Am I the only English major here?
