If I want to work in IB in LA...what major from what college is best in terms of preparation and reputation? Are UPenn and NYU still top dog?

I’m not sure if IB is the right place to be right now…

UPenn is a great school. I would also look at UCLA, Berkeley and Stanford. NYU is going to put you in NYC. Anything Ivy will help you, but ideally you would want to be located on the West Coast.

^ Ant is that you?

@OP just land yourself into a top program and you’ll place alright. West coat will be better though just because of location. So choose Stanford over UPenn ect.

Hahah, yes, it is me. I try and be on all areas that might have some MSF action.

^This may be true for a few specific banks, but overall, this is incorrect.

^^ Where is that quote you are referring to coming from? Did someone post and delete?

I am also hoping you are not referring to me since I am far from a stock broker.

go to Berkeley or UCLA and get a degree in math, computer science, or electrical engineering.
