What major is the coolest???

Physics....

haha

Bagpipe Performance...I love that. Did everyone see the article on that on the front page of the WSJ as few days ago?

as for coolest major-

definately mathematics or classics :)

Classics.

What could be cooler than being fluent in Latin and ancient Greek and knowing all that ancient literature?

Zoology. Play with animals!

Computer Science! And I aint a nerd

everybody knows that all the cool kids major in CS...

What's cool about CS???

It's not.

Everyone knows that all the coolER kids major finance...and finance majors will own your butt. hahaha:D

I think we all know the coolEST kids major in English Lit.

Lax-
CS is computer science.

I know,,, what's cool abt it?

Physics/Math dual major

Criminal Justice. So cool.

Ecology & Evolutionary Biology or Zoology. If you like studying not only abroad but in the thick of the natural world, this is the way to go. A+

english sux

All THE coolest kids major finance (or some other business discipline...excluding accounting and mgmt info systems-these are the nerd dumps at business schools). Everyone knows that....:)

Yeah, and English tends to be kind of useless. Just marginally.

And everyone knows that sciences are the nerdiest and therefore least cool majors!!!:) EWWW SCIENCE I hate science pukes A LOT :D

Anyways, I'm majoring finance.

NYU, i heard finance was an elitist industry, If you were going to a selective/good State U. instead of an elite university (penn NYU etc) would it still be better to major in Finance instead of business adm or something else?

Biochemistry is the best! and everyone knows it :)

futurenyustudent: do you realize that you need to know science in order to understand finance? You're in for a big surprise. Advanced financial theory is very complex, its foundations are in statistical theories like brownian motion, which is shared by subjects like thermodynamics and physics. And of course advanced calculus. That's how you price securities and look into arbitrage opportunities. BTW, Berkeley has an excellent finance dept, particularly in VC.

Ok, so did anyone in this thread NOT just state their major/intended major?

That having been said, astronomy and physics are the coolest. Obviously. ;)
