What Major Should I Choose?

I’m currently in the college application process and stuck on choosing a major. Money is a pretty big factor for me, however I still value how entertaining a specific job will be for me. I don’t want a major that will be hard to find a job in also. The majors I’ve been thinking about are Finance, Business, Psychology, and Philosophy.

Originally I always wanted to do something in business or finance because of how much money they can make but in reality I don’t really know what someone with a Finance major would even do. Seeing how certain businesses grow really interest me.

More recently Psychology and Philosophy have really interested me and I could see myself studying them and enjoying it. The only thing is I plan to go to university for 4 years, but I’m open to more if needed which is what I heard a lot with majoring in Psychology. I think it’s really interesting to see how certain people act on different situations and why we do what we do. I was also wondering if there’s a career that kind of incorporates business into psychology.

Out of Finance or Business which one should I choose. Out of Psychology or Philosophy which one should I choose. Finally, out of all 4 options which one should I choose.

No one can answer that except you. Keep in mind that what you put on the app will very possibly not be what you major in. Why not pick one for now that you’re leaning towards and then taking an intro course for your top choices. That should help you narrow it down pretty quickly. You’re generally free to change your major after acceptance. Some schools let you change until senior year of college.

There are lots of careers that meld business and psychology. Look up behavioral economics, industrial-organizational psychology, market research, marketing/advertising, user experience research, personnel psychology.
