I'm a senior in high school stressing out about what to pick for my major! I like art and creative design, but I'm also very good at math and science and would like to find a career that would incorporate these things. I was wondering if Software Engineering would be a good route to take? I like the idea that its a very flexible job that can be done anywhere in the world. I also like the idea of being able to design a website or a tech product. Would I be better off in majoring in Graphic/Web design maybe? My dad works for a huge tech firm and oversees web development, and he says that its better to specialize in either software engineering or graphic design. Is this accurate, or would I potentially be able to add creative aspects to SE? I also am interested in developing green technology in some shape or form. Would SE a good gateway to pursue this? Maybe I should just apply undeclared and figure it out in college?

You have hit the nail on the head with your last comment. Apply undecided and take a year to figure it out. Make sure you take the right courses to be able to go in either direction and talk to students in each of the majors as well as faculty. Your ideas will become clearer then.
