I'm only a junior in high school but a lot of people ask me what might I want to major in while in college. I know I don't really even have to know yet, there is still plenty of time but I would feel more comfortable knowing what I want. So ill just describe myself real quick haha!

I'm a very social/outgoing person and I like to meet new people as well. Communications or something like working as a radio host or doing something in TV production really interest me. So I don't know what specific major in communications that would fall into.

^^^So if someone can give me a few ideas on that I'd be SO HAPPY!

Hello there
As a sophmore in college, I have to tell you that it’s not easy to pick a major! lol I am still undecided about what I want to do, and it’s already my second year. My advice to you is to take general education first. In every major you will need it, so rather concentrate on finishing it off first. Taking general Ed will also give you an idea of what your main interests and strengths are for you to choose a major. If you still are undecided, I suggest researching and listing down your many priorites. Make a list of the careers you want to end up working and the lifestyle you want to live. For example, you might think that film and television is the right choice, but also consider the job prospects will not be as bright as choosing lets say accounting. However again, you might consider that you wouldn’t want to end up working in an office, and instead with people. Make another lists of the time you are willing to spend in college studying. Some people wouldn’t mind commiting to school for 10 years, while others just want to finish fast and start working. It is all up to you, and what makes you happy . Good Luck! Remember that anything is possible, but you must some sort of action!. :)

If you want to do Communications I know that Syracuse is excellent at preparing people to get good jobs in radio. Seeing you’re from New York, I’d check them out.

Yeah I’m gonna checkout Syracuse. I hear they have one of the top communication programs. I wanna live in the Washington DC area so i’m looking at American,Howard, and a few other colleges in that area. Thanks for they advice @Pily and @Xavi.

Btw… @Pily I’m gonna be going for my masters so I’m gonna be in school for at least 8 years =)
