What majors are these colleges known for?

<p>Hi guys, I'm just looking into transferring to these potential colleges: Duke University, Brown University, Johns Hopkins University, U of California San Diago and UPenn.</p>

<pre><code> I'm just wondering what majors are these colleges known for. For example, JHU and UC SD are known for their BME program as Brown is very well ranked in their applied mathematics department.

So, if anyone know any information or websites about "good" majors in these colleges, please reply.

<p>UPenn - business, from what I've seen.
JHU - med stuffs.
UCSD - BME</p>

<p>JHU is also very well known for its Creative Writing department.</p>

<p>jhu most popular majors: IR, bio, neuroscience, bme, and has a very good creative writing department</p>

<p>I have no hope on UPenn's business program, for only amazing kids get into Wharton. JHU's BME, I suspect is as competitive as Wharton. </p>

<p>What about Brown and Duke?</p>

<p>Depending what you are planning to do, if grad school...students in duke tend to get into good grad schools also but they take their time =D so very few people from duke get into grad/prof school immediately after undergrad</p>
