What majors have you randomly thought of changing to?

My major is psychology. I switched out of nursing after 1.5 years in the program and a semester away from clinicals. I considered economics enough to take intro while doing nursing pre-clinicals. Had some non-serious thoughts about accounting and how it would be “safe.” However, psychology is really perfect for me (I’m a rising senior) and I am planning to pursue the clinical career route, just not sure in what capacity.

I’m a pure math major, and the only other separate major I’ve really thought about is Computer Science. The way it’s set up here is a bit of a hassle though, and it would probably have been difficult to graduate in 4 years if I had switched over at the end of the year. I still might switch to Math/Computing or (less likely) Applied Math. I’ve considered several minors though - philosophy, accounting, econ, statistics, specialization in computing…

I’m a bio major, and although I could probably find interest in ANY field, the ones that hold the most interest for me are:

Environmental Studies/Sciences
Psychology
Art (studio art)
Public Health/Health Admin.
Farts

Moral of the story:

Many of us have an innate interest in majors that give no discernable job future: acting, sociology, gender studies and the like.

The abovementioned would be a blast to study in college (“Sociology of rock and roll”, for example, how cool is that??) but mostly, we need to be pragmatic and think of job prospects.

Currently mechanical engineering

randomly considered:
music
geology

Mathematics
Biological Engineering
East Asian Studies
Linguistics
History
