what majors

Hello

I am an international student. I am gonna attend an american college for the next four years.
I know MD/PhD programs are very competitive for international students. Do u think would it make me more competitive if I major in molecular biology and economics? Or should I just major in mol bio and maybe something else related with the sciences?

thanks

Major in what you are passionate about. There is actually a higher acceptance rate into Med School for non-science majors than for science majors.

Really? That's weird, shouldn't it be the opposite?

Med schools want interesting people. But really, there's only a slight difference between the acceptance rate for non-science vs. science majors. So you should pick whatever major you feel that you'll do well in. From what I've heard, it's really a high GPA that matters.
