What makes a letter of recommendation stand out?

One of my teachers has shown me the letter of rec she is writing for me, and has said I can suggest anything I would like her to add. I really think it’s great so far.

If you were an admissions officer, what would stand out to you?
What makes a LOR special?
What would you want a teacher to say about you?

Obviously the content – a LOR about a boring kid is simply boring. Are YOU a stand out? That’s the first question to answer.

Good luck

Dang it, @T26E4, linking to the MIT page before I could!
It really is a good guideline
