What Makes Purdue's Engineering School Better Than Most?

I'm just wondering.

I saw in another post on a current thread the stats for many E-students there from HS, and they weren't particularly jaw-dropping. Yet, Purdue still seems to churn out excellent engineers, according to USNWR and other sources, even more reputable than engineers from higher student stat schools.

So, how does this happen? Please explain the magic.

its the toughness of the curriculum, 35% drop out of purdue engineering by the end of the 3rd semster and 50% in 4 years. The easiest part of Purdue Engineering is getting in.

baseballnerd is correct…thus the stats are skewed b/c you have the average person with low scores weighing the admissions stats down
