<p>Johns Hopkins is not really in an unsafe area. It may seem unsafe to someone who comes from a rural area or maybe somewhere in the south. However, it is a relatively safe area of the city. I think, for the most part, you will find a much different attitude as to what is and isn't safe based on your point of view. I am probably slightly biased being from Baltimore as are outsiders who maybe haven't experienced the area. IDK, its a matter of opinion.<br>
Although Vanderbilt is clearly in a nicer area than JHU.</p>
