What makes your school unique?

Hey, I go to Theoneo's school, and it isn't as bad as it sounds, trust me.

Anyway, what makes our school special is our extremely talented musicians (one girl got into Julliard's on a full scholarship). Also, for some reason, many people in our school (myself included) love dressing up in strange costumes. One guy I knew wore a tinfoil hat for a week, and for one of our school's events, one of the triplets dressed in a gorilla suit while his brothers danced around him while romantic music was playing in the background.

My friends and I randomly dress up as hillbillies...

For Halloween, my friends and I dressed up as Captain Planet and the Planeteers.

Uhh I just described the IPLE team... who are you, peachykeen?

Oh, you did? Sorry, I thought you were writing about Science Bowl (or something of that nature). One of my friends is on one of the Science-y teams and she was kind of peeved that they lost one of their competitions--I thought that's what you were referring to.

Oh, and as to my identity--it's a well kept secret (but if you were at Mr. North, you might know who I am). What grade are you in? I'm an upperclassman.

"its 72% asian, 70% of students wear seven jeans, 40% of students drive mercedes/lexus/bmws to school.....yeahh"

that sounds like beverly hills, bel-air, palos verdes

Our school has no teacher under the age of 35.
We have 2 gorgeous chapels
We send many, many girls to top 25 schools, and everyone knows about our brother school down the road (which has recently made some headlines bc of its alumni..), yet not many people know of our school.
We have the highest point in our county at the top of our tower.

That's about it.. we're a pretty unique school overall just bc of our students and stuff.. but nothing really noteworthy

sapphire, sounds like a cool school

Oh, and I forgot to add--one of our students was in Star Wars, Episode I, another student was on Jeopardy, and one of the art teachers worked on the set for the TV show ZOOM!

Everyone at my school (grades k-12) completes the IB curriculum; no alternative to the IB is even offered.

According to our website, "The students, their parents, and the faculty and staff represent over 90 countries."

Most upper school classes take place in a former residential mansion.

My school was established in 1851. Our sister school was founded in the same year as well. They blew up all of the old buildings though.

Hmmm... we were on the news because we had a biohazard scare. They though we had some sort of disease because people were throwing up red stuff which they thought was blood; turns out, it was only bad red slushy mix...

^ Your post reminded me of something that happened last Thursday.

A stranger ran into our state-of-the-art building and up the grand staircase to the second floor. A history teacher called the police. I walked out of the library just in time to see the policeman running up the stairs and talking into his radio, "We have a 3-1-9." Something like that. We found out that it was a fugitive. Apparently, he had robbed a convenience store nearby and used our school campus as a refuge. He was unarmed though. So much for school safety.

We have had no major incidents, except for the murder of a Chinese girl by a white stalker who pursued her for a year with threatening emails, and the girl, having grown up in a place where authority is absolute, made no further complaints to anyone after the first email. She was killed the day before Spring Break of 1998.

actually it's San Marinio, which is right NEXT to Arcadia. you were pretty close though....

umm.. well my school is relatively new (only 3 years old) & so far we only have freshmen, sophmores, and juniors. Next year will be the first year we have seniors and my class is the first graduating class. :)

For starters, I go there. And that's more than enough. ;p

My school once was involved in a lawsuit that went to the Supreme Court, but the Court declined to hear it. Just look up "Warren Hills" and "Sypniewski", and you'll find out all about the redneck t-shirt case.

OMG I know about that!!!!

My Debate Club participated in a moot court tournament at Princeton last weekend and the simulated case was EXACTLY like the one involving your school! My friend's mom is a lawyer and had access to the local court's decision, which would've helped us TREMENDOUSLY, but she forgot about it haha.

Ok that probably made no sense if you don't know how moot court works.

Rigging a contest again, are we? What can go around can also come around, but then again if your rival was there you could have rigged it against them, in which case it is merely sweet revenge.
