When I took my last ACT test, I decided to leave some light markings next to the numbers of some problems on the math section. This was on the answer sheet, not on the question book. This was so that I could mark off the problems I was having difficulty with and come back to in the last few minutes when I was finished with the other problems. These markings were made outside of the pink boxes that organize the problems into rows.

While I intended to erase these markings, I ran out of time and was unable to. Will they interfere with the grading of my score?

I did the exact same thing on the test test. I didn’t really even have the presence of mind to erase it after the test, I just assumed everything would be grade correctly. Now that you put that thought into my head, I’m pretty worried…

I doubt it will make a difference. But if the machine scans the entire page, the markings might get counted.

you guys should update this with the results, so that in the future, others who take the test and do leave marks will know whether or not they should panic lol. I know you wont know for sure if those are the ones you missed or what not, but maybe we can deduce something.

I have done this on every test I’ve taken and I’ve taken 5 tests. It has never affected my score. You’ll be fine.
