What marks do they look at?

Hi guys...

I'm wondering how colleges will calculate my GPA and what marks they will look at. The problem lies in the fact that I haven't always been interested in college... Therefore I have a C in Gr 9 English and a A/B split for the rest of my grades until second term Sophomore. So will straight A's in Junior Year and Senior First Term with a challenging course load cancel out the mediocre frosh/soph grades? I'm just worried and need reassurance. I also wonder what classes they use to calculate it and if they weight the classes themselves.

So with all Frosh/Soph/Junior/Senior ALL CLASSES (Using A - 4, B - 3, C - 2):

3.76/4

Junior & Senior

4.0/4

Thanks!

It depends on the college...most college will only look at soph/junior year grades...

Totally untrue Gumba, it's the exceptional colleges that only look at those 2 years, the UCs are the only schools I know of that do. Princeton and Stanford, among top schools, are the only ones that look at all years except freshman.
