What materials in Kaplan course

What books online resources etc... Come with the Kaplan mcat course?

Hardcopy: Lesson book, Review notes (physics, gen chem, org chem, biology, verbal), Quicksheets & Flashcards.

also, access to a very thorough online program–quizzes, lectures, more content review, “high yield” questions (about stuff that typically shows up on the mcat), tutorials, probably 20+ full length tests, section tests, videos, other supplementary stuff. once you complete a quiz, section test, or full length test, the site also provides in-depth answers and categorizes the questions, which allows you to figure out what else you need to focus on. it also tracks how well you do, how much you’ve improved, and what your weak areas are in addition to designing a study plan for you based on your performance on the diagnostic test.

it’s an expensive program all around, but i definitely thought it was worth it–and i would generally consider myself to be a very good test taker who rarely prepares for standardized tests (did nothing for sat, act, psat, etc and did great on all of them). NEVER pay full-price for the course. there are always discounts out there, and your school probably has struck a deal with kaplan to offer a discounted price.

for reference, i saved over $500 by using online codes, discounts from my university, and asking to also use the $100 mail in rebate. bringing the cost from $1800 to $1300 made it a little easier to stomach. they also graciously offered to bundle one of their additional programs ($500 value) for free because they gave me the run around with scheduling a few times–so i guess i got $2300 worth of stuff for $1300. never hurts to ask!

and finally, should you not improve from your diag score (and i’ve literally never known someone who didn’t improve), you get a full refund. and if you want to retake the test at a later date, you can continue going to classes and using the online materials for free–so you could essentially take the class twice and only pay once…but who wants to retake!!

The best thing about the Kaplan course is you can take it as many times as you want for free after the first time if you feel like you arent ready for the MCAT. lol and trust me, you’ll be ready after the second go-around.

Be careful that you need to fullfill some minimum requirements (Is it called HSG – high Score Guarantee?) if you want to take the 2nd (or 3rd time) time free. Otherwise, you still need to pay for it.

Oh my gosh, I don’t even want to think about the possibility of D1 repeating the MCAT .
