Izzy, did you not take precal?

nope. my school doesn't require it for calc for some reason

8th- Math Honors (Math A)
9th- Honors (Math AB)
10th- Honors (Math B)
11th- Honors (parallels AP Calc AB but we're not expected to take the exam)
12th- AP Calc BC

9th - Math A
10th - Math AB
11th - Math B
12th - precal & AB cal (expected)

for m3h then

9th: Honors Geometry
10th: Honors Algebra 2
10th-11th Summer: Pre-Calc via BYU Independent Study
11th: AP Calc AB
12th: AP Calc BC

Southwestern PA...suburbs of Pittsburgh

I'm impressed w/ the number of multivariable calc/linear algebra listings for 12th grade. Some high schools are certainly more advanced than others.

hehe AP calc ab is considered to be advanced here...it's a phenonmenon for anyone to be above that. Maybe 1 person out of 450 in each class will get that high in a smart class.

9th: Algebra 1
10th: Geometry
11th: Math Analysis(Honors) or Pre-Calc(Honors)
12th(this fall):AP Calc AB

California

9th: Geometry and Algebra II
10th: Precal
11th: AP Cal AB
12: AP Cal BC

9th Honors Alg2/Trig
10th AP Calc AB
11th AP Calc BC
12th NOTHING

Wow. I'm the first one with Calc in 10th grade. And I felt so stupid seeing so many RSI'ers and AoPS'ers take Calc as early as 7th or 8th grade. In my 8th grade, I would have been in cerebrian's position - only getting up to Calc AB in 12th, had I not taken accelerated courses.

8th grade: Integrated I (similar to Algebra I)
8th grade summer: Integrated II
9th grade: Pre-IB Advanced Alg/Trig
9th grade summer: Pre-Calculus
10th grade: IB Math Methods II (AP Calc AB) and self-studying BC Calc, which reminds me to study now.

Then off to university next year, where I'll repeat single variable calculus with proofs, linear algebra, and more depth and then move onto multivariable + analysis in what would have been my 12th grade.

7th - algebra i
8th - honors geometry
9th - honors algebra ii
10th - precalculus with analysis
11th (planned) - ap calculus bc, applied (ap) statistics (one-semester course)
12th (planned) - analysis ii (multivariable calculus and differential equations), linear algebra (one-semester course)

i'm in maryland, just north of dc.

hey bemyparaguay, what about AP Calc AB?

9th - Analytic Geometry (crappy private school)
10th - Precal
11th - Calc BC
12th - AP sleeping?

I could have taken Calc after 9th, but I was lazy, and the only thing past BC here is Calc III at the local CC so it would have been pointless. Best decision ever, as Precal was the most awesome class I have ever had.
