9 - Geometry
10 - Algebra II
11 - PreCalc/Math Analysis
12 - AP Calculus AB

9- Geometry
10- Algebra II
11- PreCalc
12- AP Calc AB or AP Stats (haven't decided yet)

Connecticut

9- Geometry
10- Alg II S.1, Prec. S. 2
11- AP calc , statistics
12- NOTHING/NO MATHEMATICS!

nj

9- MATH AB
10- MATH B
11- pre-cal (current)
12- Cal BC (next year)

junior in NYC

you guys make me feel soooo stupid, i think everyone at my school who took calc AP was in math team + the advanced math track the whole time

do you people in calc AP take advanced math in the years before?

my school gives the usual MATH AB, (or sequential I,II,III), (OR algebra, geome...etc..) depending on ur state. then comes Pre-cal, then AP cal, we only offer AP cal BC tho...

maybe it's because i live in alabama where public education, um sucks,
i promise that most of my grades in alg. II/trig (with many in informal geometry)

9th- H Algebra 2
10th- H Trig/Math Analysis
11th- AP Calc BC
12th- AP Stat

9th summer- geometry
9th- alg 2H
10th-stats AP
11th-precalc H
12th-calc BC

9th- alg 1
10th- geo
11th - alg 2
summer - precalc
12th- ap stats

Barfdog, why learn precalc yourself (based on assumption) over the summer if you plan on taking stats the following semester?

that's a summer class, he probably wanted to get it over with

9th: Advanced Algebra Honors
10th: Geometry Honors
11th: Pre-Calc Honors (Hardest Math Class Ever)
12th: AP Calculus AB (Much Easier than Pre-Cal)

9th: Algebrat II/Trig
10th: Pre-calc
11th: AP Calc AB
12th: AP Statistics / Integral Calculus / MVC

California

9: Algebra 2
10: Math Analysis (basically pre-calc)
11: AP Calc AB
12: AP Calc BC w/ option to take AP Statistics (I didn't take Stats)

9: Geo H
10: Alg 2/ Trig H
11: Pre-Calc H/ AP Stats
12: AP Calc BC

8th: Geometry
9th: Alg. 2
then i got serious and kicked it up a notch
9th summer: pre-cal and discrete mathematics
10th: ap cal ab and ap stat
10th summer: cal 2
11th: stanford EPGY theoretical multivariable calculus
11th summer (planned): three AOPS classes and fill in any gaps from all my classes.
12th: linear alg.

i was shooting to get into abstract algebra by 12th grade a few years ago but linear alg. was required, and it was difficult to find lin. alg. at a good time for me to take it.

9th - H. Alg. 2
10th - H. Pre-Calc
11th - AP Calc AB
12th - AP Calc BC

9 Geometry
10 Algebra II
11 Math Analysis
12 AP Calc BC ( if you had at least an A- in Analysis and over 700 on SATs)

9th - algebra II honors
10th - pre calculus honors
11th - calculus BC
12th - multivariable calculus honors

random quesh for all of you multi kids, what math course do you plan on taking in college ur freshman year? are you retaking multi or doing linear algebra? i really dont know how the system works, is multi the equivalent of calculus II in college? also, do colleges give credit for multi? someone please explainl...
