What Math sequence should I take in high school?

Hey guys, I'm a freshman, and I'm kinda having some trouble coming up with a high school math and science sequence for myself. I'd like to go into the computer science field and I'd like to take Calculus ask early as possible without giving up on other fields of math -- Can help me get a better understanding of computer science hopefully (doing Calc i mean)

Background: I went to a charter school and I took PreCalculus last year as an eighth-grader, but since I go to a public high school now, they are not counting my credits from there so I'm taking Honors Geometry this year and I have to repeat PreCalculus in soph year :( They only let me test out of Algebra II Honors.

In these plans I will include regular school years and summers. Can you help me add in some online math classes too? Thanks!

Here's what my math plan looks like right now:

Freshman(Year): Honors Geometry
-- self-studying Calc AB
Freshman to Sophomore(Summer): Discrete Math at EPGY OR Calc II? Which one is better keeping in mind things such as AMC and AIME?
Sophomore(Year): PreCalculus Honors
Sophomore to Junior(Summer): ???
Junior(Year) -- Will depend on what I do before??
Junior to Senior(Summer) -- Hoping I can get into SUMaC maybe...???
Senior: ???

Thanks a lot!

My understanding is that there are 2 levels for the SUMAC program. For program 1, you need to take pre-calc. For program 2, you need higher than pre-calc. So you should not worry, you should be fine.
For summer between freshman and Sophomore you can buy the books “The Art of Solvign Problem” and self-practice. I’m not sure Discrete Math is necessary but I sold the books and can’t tell you.

“Which one is better keeping in mind things such as AMC and AIME?”

You will be better off if you take AoPS online classes.

Calculus does not help AMC and AIME. But you should continue to take EPGY Calculus this year if you did well on PreCalc and you don’t take AoPS classes.
