How the hell do you think any of us (who don't work in the Rice admissions office) would have any idea how these rank in the eyes of the Rice adcoms? How can you be so presumptuous to think that there even is a defined ranking of these criteria?

anhtimmy, I've ssen you post a lot of threads asking how to get in to Rice, and you keep referring to it as your "dream school":

what are the top 3 things Rice looks for in an individual?
Is Rice biased towards specific SAT II's?
SAT I and SAT II scores for Rice?
should i send my AP scores to Rice?
Help me get into Rice (dream school)
What matters most when trying to get into Rice?

I've seen you ask essentially the same question eight different ways, and every time we tell you that we have no way of knowing, and even if we did there's only so much you can do at this point to affect your chances of getting in. You're not listening. Do what you enjoy doing, do well at it, and you will probably get in to Rice. It's that simple.

You're going about this all the wrong way. Why is Rice your dream school? I haven't seen you ask a single question about life at Rice. How do you know that Rice is right for you if all you know about it is how to get in?

Right now, you just look like you're searching for validation of your ability to get in from us. You're looking for us to say what you want to hear, because there's no other plausible explanation for why you would ask a question like this after we've told you over and over again that we have no idea how to answer questions like this, and even then the answer doesn't really matter.

Rice is a pretty chill place. If you want to come here, you need to lighten up.

In reality, I believe it's just a matter of your passions. If you're really into something and believe in it and it shows, I believe Rice will look at you more. Many students have good SAT scores and GPAs and stuff like that, but if you have passion, it will make you stand out more.
