I thought it was Block 190 and Block 235...?

I'd assume that 235 would give three meals a day, while 190 would average out to a little over 2.

I did the math a while ago and I think the 190 actually averages to about 1.6 meals a day, whereas the other one is more like three a day during the week and maybe two a day on weekends.
So if you like to eat, as I do, definitely go with the 200-something one (unless you're planning to eat out a lot, which I don't)

By the way, does the meal plan apply to the food in Frist? It's all a la carte there, so I was wondering how that would work out.

I believe the way meal plans work is that you can use meals at Frist for certain time periods in the day -- late lunch (2:00 - 3:30 pm) and late dinner (9:00-10:30 pm), and only up to certain price values ($5.95 lunch and $6.95 dinner). Otherwise, its just residential dining halls. I think I'll be eating late quite often next year. :)

Uhm, what I thought was that with your meal plan, you got a certain amount to spend at Frist. Beyond that, it all gets charged to your student account.
However, if you didn't eat one (or more) meal/s that day, you could late-meal at Frist (missing breakfast = $3 credit or something, lunch and dinner worth more), but I don't know how it'd work now.

the best meal plan is 20 meals/wk +$50 in spend money. As skysongx says you can eat at Frist (late meals) M-F. S uses it whenever the menu is lousy.

They changed the meal plan system this year, though. Incoming freshman dont get the meals per week/point system option. It's either Block 235 or 190 meals per semester, with an additional 10 meals for guests. They didn't say much about Frist, except that late meals are available there, so I assume its unlimited and just counts as another meal.

yeah, it's very hard to understand.

I hope the food is as good as UF... UF had awesome food and was cheap.

UF being...?

University of Florida, I'd presume.

I thought the Princeton food was pretty good...I'm trying to average 14 meals a week with some spending money on the side.

On my visit I was pretty impressed with the food. The one complaint I heard was that dinner ended too early for some of the sports practices, but I understand that they are extending the dinner hour for next year.
