i really want to go with at&t because they'll have e71x soon, but it's probably more important to stick with the most popular servicer to save $$

verizon have the best reception but more expensive than ATT I think… i used to have tmobile it worked fine in most areas except lecture halls and rieber area… now i use att and i get reception in more lecture halls but no reception at rieber area still, no 3g nor edge

Verizon, your world, crippled.

AT&T’s 3G is spotty, it sucks.

I have Sprint and I get reception pretty much everywhere except Reiber. I pretty much have 3G everywhere as well.

not many people have sprint though, so your potential M2M field is drastically reduced. most have verizon or at&t.

That’s true but I stay within my minutes pretty easily. Most of my calls are made after 7 anyways so most of the time I don’t even dip into my anytime minutes.

I’m definitely not trying to promote sprint because if it wasnt for my plan, I would have jumped ship a while ago.

which rieber area do you guys mean? the dormatory under renovation? it’s hard to think of a residential area with no receiption

sprint has a really nice collection of rugged phones, but VTE is right

rieber terrace, rieber vista, rendezvous all have reception problems from what ive heard

Yeah, there were some problems if you lived on the inner side of the building (the crux of the short end and the long end in terrace), and most of the time you had to have your phone near the window, although my phone worked fine for the most part except within the hallway.

T-mobile gets decent reception except when I’m in Canyon Point at a friend’s dorm (I never go to rieber) and in the big lecture halls (but that’s probably a good thing =P). Also I don’t get reception in lots of areas in the dining halls. Otherwise, its pretty good.
