and a lotta mainstream music.

Any George Clinton fans? I'm going to try to blast George Clinton as much as possible at college parties.
Ain't no party like a p-funk party.

How bout Robert Randolph and the Family Band?

I also generally like funk and classic rock.

Hey tiger, most of the guys that you listed were on drugs too, haha.

I like the goo goo dolls.

I love rock music. I cant really stand rap music unless at a dance/club. Classic rock is extremly popular around where I live in Ohio. In fact, im sporting the 70's look of a shag lol.

I recommend the following cd's:
Pink Floyd-Wish you were here
Pink Floyd-Dark side of the moon
Metallica- Kill em all
Metallica- and justice for all
The Doors-the doors
The Doors-Legacy
The Who-Ultimate Collection
Lynyrd Skynyrd-Pronounced Lehnerd Skenerd
The Beatles-white album(preferably disc 1)
The Beatles-Abbey Road
Nirvana-unplugged
Jimi Hendrix Experience-Are you experienced?

DVDs:
Led Zeppelin-Song Remains the Same
The Doors-Live in Europe 68
Metallica-S&M
Jimi Hendrix-Live at woodstock(freaking awesome)
Lynyrd Skynyrd-Freebird the movie

kgv2182, that's true hahaha

I love music, as most do. I REALLY love The Unicorns, Q and not U, Mirah, etc. Its mostly Indie.

I also have a strong passion for Japanese pop hehe. I love dance-esque tunes. Ayumi Hamasaki, Nanase Aikawa, its all great.

A perfect circle is my favorite, then definitely tool. I also like rap/hip-hop, quite a combination.

Musical soundtracks. My top favorites right now are: Thoroughly Modern Millie, Miss Saigon (Oh! So beautiful!), and Cabaret. I also enjoy classical and the pop of the 80's, 90's, and today to get me through my homework.

the Red Hot Chili Peppers rock my socks. the end. :)

I listen to YES, the greatest band ever! Prog is best!

classical and hip hop... i know, i'm wierd

zebrahead
the vandals

Tigeruppercut, what's your point?

Yeah most of the classic rock groups were influenced by drugs, but what's wrong with that? That's why the music is so good. This damn war on drugs killed music. Well, that and the death of talent.

the strokes, the vines, no doubt, the killers, etc.etc.

Too many types of music. My cd collection includes alt rock, indie rock, classic rock, hard rock, electronic, techno, Hindi, and hip-hop. I was looking through my burnt cd collection, and I found some Korean and Japanese music in there.

if anyone's into really mellow, low-tech music, i can HIGHLY recommend the Kings of Convenience. Their new CD "riot on an empty street" is incredible, especially the songs "I'd rather dance with you" and "misread." also The Shins are awesome

Oasis

Coldplay

Oh lord...there are some people who are so out of it, they just aren't worth arguing with. I just hope eventually you move beyond boring "mainstream" music.
