What non-engineering stuff can you do with a degree in engineering??

<p>I apologize if there were many topics, like this, but what can you do with say, a BS in chemical engineering besides a technical work?</p>

<p>Management, accounting and acquisitions are three fields that I personally know people from my graduating class are going in to. I’m MSE but for the purposes of this question we’re about the same. A lot of financial companies recruit us.</p>

<p>Lots of corporate managers majored in Engineering ( many went on to get an MBA ). The thinking on the matter says studying Engineering trains you how to think in sequential pragmatic steps. Law schools are also often interested in sequential pragmatic thinkers, thus the answer to one of life’s other great mysteries - what do you do with an undergraduate degree in philosophy, go to law school…</p>

<p>In addition to the above post, to get into patent law you need a technical background (i.e. engineering) to be able to understand the issues and represent your clients.</p>
