My unweighted gpa is a 2.9. :(. Weighted is a 3.4, I've taken 13 honor classes the past 3 years, I'm taking 4 ap classes this year. I've taken 3 years of spanish. My Sat was a 1820, writing:650, Reading: 560, Math: 610. I wanted to go to App State or UNC G but they probably won't accept me with my gpa :l. Am I forced to go to community College?

East Carolina U is possible. UNC Charlotte, Greensborough, Pembroke, Wilmington. Google the Common Data Set for each and look at section C.

There are great college that have open admissions.

There are many good privates in NC/SC/VA that you could look at, depending on your finances. My NC nephew with almost identical stats got a $10k merit scholarship from one (did not even remotely qualify for need based aid). He did apply very early, which I think helped.

Belmont Abbey College.

Are you willing to go to schools outside of NC?

Western Carolina University, UNC Charlotte, UNC Greensboro ,East Carolina University if you want a state u.

If you want a private college there are lots of choices…Catawba College, Queens College of Charlotte, Guilford College, Meredith College (if you’re a female), Wingate University, Lenoir-Rhyne University, Mars Hill College, Lees-McCrae College, Methodist College, etc.

NC A&T may also be a possibility for admission. If your interest is engineering, it has a larger selection of engineering majors than any NC school other than NCSU.

But you need to check the net price calculator at each school to determine if it is realistic financially.
