I know this sounds stupid, but I don't know how to figure out my unweighted gpa. My school only tells us what our weighted gpa is. Is there a way I could figure it out on my own? Or at least, what is it? Thanks :-)

just take all of your grades and find the average. Like if you have A,A,A,B,B you would add 4+4+4+3+3=18. 18/5 classes = 3.6

Ohh, so an A in AP, which would normally be a 5, turns into a 4?

^^^ correct...

Alright, I'm still confused. In my school an A in regular is 4, in honors is 4.5, in Ap is 5. So say I got an A in an AP class and was trying to find my unweighted gpa, would I make it a 4 instead of a five. An A in honors, which is normally 4.5, would it become a 3.5? That wouldn't make sense. Ohhh man.

An A in ANY COURSE equals a 4.0 UW gpa raw score. (But thats diffrent for weighted).

no matter what you take (honors or AP) an A is a 4.

Don't think about how your school does its ap and honors pts. just use the following:

A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1, F=0

Add your grades up and divide by the number of classes you have.

Ok..thanks everyone!! I feel kinda dumb, but I get it! :-)
