Hey all you CCer's! I was just wondering what orientation session all you 2009 people got. whoops should I be posting this on the UCLA 2009 forum? haha too bad, now tell me!! =)

While not yet confirmed, I'm hoping for August 9-11.

dang.. isn't that quite a late one?

i am just about to get the july 11th one...just making the final arrangements w/ my parents, but thats definitely the one i want and prob will sign up for later tonight.

It's the 6th session out of 10... it's the earliest I can make. Hopefully the classes wont all be gone:(

Just signed up for 102.

Still have to finish that last page of surveys though, blech.

For the educational planner, is it okay if we leave blanks?

Session 102, arriving early the night before b/c i have no idea how i can arrive at UCLA @ 8 AM on a MONDAY

"It's the 6th session out of 10... it's the earliest I can make. Hopefully the classes wont all be gone"

Don't worry, all the classes won't be gone. They close certain classes once they reach a certain point so that those that are in later Orientation sessions have a relatively decent shot at getting into some of the classes they need. Enrollment for orientation isn't too bad. I was in session 105 this past summer and I got all the classes that I wanted to take. You probably won't have much trouble with enrollment until you get to winter or spring...so, no worries guys! However, if by chance you get an opportunity for priority enrollment during the year, by all means take it! It's a life saver when it comes to getting into better classes. soooooo glad she has priority enrollment

I'm going to session 202 on July 21st.

how do you sign up for a session, where's the link

It shows up on your my.ucla page.

me too....July 21st! You'd be amazed how much you can learn just by.....<gasp> going onto the website and doing a little legwork. lol</gasp>

session 102

hey guys i have a question. i read thru like Orientation sections and i came upon a concern about AP tests. it says something along this line "you may want to register for later orientation because the AP scores wont be sent until July 15." I kno u can get the score by phone (u get jipped 8 bucks tho) on July 1. Question is, when the hell does AP central mail the scores out? I'm assuming July 1? because if thats the case then I can sign up for the earliest orienation (july 11 i believe .. right now im on the 2nd earliest. does anyone have any idea when collegeboard sends out the scores to colleges? lol i sound so worried but yea.

yeah in case any of u are wonderng what AP scores have anything to do with orientation, i believe it may affect class enrollment?? wonder if the counselor will take ur word for what u got on ur AP test tho..

I'm sure they will take your word. They won't force you to enroll in a class you don't want. Haha The AP scores get mailed by July 15th. So I'm going to the 2nd one. Some people who are calling to get their scores early are going to the 1st one.

Even if you call to get your scores, how does UCLA KNOW What your scores are...

i got session 102!!!! :)

my brother who currently goes to ucla right now says that you can check the ucla website (i think my.ucla) for your ap scores before they are sent out (like the second week of july)...since collegeboard sends your score to your college first, then in paper to your home

I was planning to go to one of the later sessions in July...:)
