What other colleges should I look at?

<p>So far my list includes: UW, WSU, Gonzaga University, Cal Poly San Luis, University of Portland, University of Southern California, Rice University, and Stanford (just for the heck of it)</p>

<p>Grades: 4.0 unweighted
lots of AP and college credit classes, and impressive extra curricular activities
above average SAT scores, but not super good
I will need financial aid </p>

<p>I'm thinking of majoring in engineering, but since I'm not sure yet I want to have lots of options.</p>

<p>I want to go somewhere that has anywhere over a couple thousand students, somewhere with things to do around campus or in the surrounding areas, and preferably on the West coast, but I'll be open to other options too. Also, I don't really mind if its rural or in a city.</p>

<p>Look at Big Ten Schools. I know they are not on the west coast, but many of them have excellent engineering programs.</p>

<p>Cal Poly will cost ~$30K for OOS and you won’t get any aid except loans (and Pell Grant if your EFC is VERY low). Can you afford that?</p>

<p>Yeah, look into the University of Minnesota.</p>
