What other options beside UT?

<p>Hello. Since UT is becoming harder to get into this year, what other universities have you guys applied to? Someone told me last year that the admission rate for '07 was 51%, I can only imagine that it's lower for '08. I've completed a transfer application already. Last year, I was admitted into UT right after high school, but due to family issues I was unable to go and had to resort to one of the satellite schools. What other colleges have the same admission rate or slightly higher rates? Also, what other colleges have good Biomedical Engineering programs, or engineering programs in general, that fall around UT's admission rates?</p>

<p>Last year, UT's Biomedical Engineering program was ranked right after Harvard's. With the addition of a new Biomed building, the program will only get better and better, but also harder to get into. Please keep in mind that UT's biomed engineering program is fairly new.</p>

<p>aren't you automatic in at UT if you went to a satellite school?</p>

<p>That's if you did the CAP program, which applies when UT thinks you should spend a year at a satellite school and then if you have at least 3.0 GPA you get in. Because of issues, I completely disregarded my admittance and entered UTSA as a regular student. I had to completely start a new transfer application.</p>
