Let me explain something that is very simple to all of you thinking about withholding information. Rice has something called an Honor Code. It’s a policy of trust that lets us have things like un-proctored and take home exams. You aren’t students yet, so the code doesn’t apply to you, but if you can’t answer a simple question honestly in your application, how can we expect you to follow the code when you come to Houston?

I get what your saying, and I’ll answer the question honestly, but do you truly think that every Rice student abides by this Honor code? There are cheaters in high school everywhere and you can’t expect all kids to follow it.</p>

<p>Yes there are. There are also criminals amongst the normal people. Doesn’t mean that we all behave like them. Part of enforcing the honor code is abiding by it yourself. And making sure that no one else around you cheats.</p>
