What percentage of accepted ED's are athletes, legacies, musicians, etc. . .?

Any guess on what percentage of the accepted ED’s are recruited athletes, legacies, URM, etc. . .?

There are published statistics about Dartmouth, but not Brown.

You could sort of figure out the athlete component. If you go to the Brown website, under athletics, you can see each team roster. Count up all the freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors, and that gives you an idea of how many Brown students are athletes. I don’t know what percentage of those are recruited, but make some assumptions and do the math. Then report back. :)

As for legacy – the percentage of legacies in each class averages 10%, and the matriculation rate for legacies is slightly higher than the regular pool. I’ve never seen statistics for how many legacies apply early, nor have I seen what the ED acceptance rate is for legacies. I’m not sure how to calculate that.

And I’ve never seen stats for musicians – they really aren’t hooked, so I wouldn’t focus on that.
