<p>Wow, it seems like I’m the only one without a smartphone. My parents refuse to let me buy an iPhone or Droid because of the $20 a month, which really is ridiculous.</p>

<p>It’s not really a hype… it’s a decent phone, it’s the one that has revolutionized the market, it’s definitely something I couldn’t live without ever since I got mine. Never had any issues with it and I like it better than any phone I’ve ever had or used.</p>

<p>^^I’ve used an iPhone, and its not revolutionary. The only good thing I can say about an iPhone is the Retina Display and its form-factor everything else I can get on another phone and better. Great thing the iPhone is now on Verizon.</p>

Yeah you do. At least on AT&T, a data plan is required with any smartphone.</p>
<p>the first iphone might have been a bit of a hype for what it cost vs what it did. But since then apple, despite the price tag, has led the way with a lot of the new technologies.
Before I got one i had the same attitude, but since I got it I depend on it. Anybody who doesn’t have one, use one for a day and you’ll be hooked. And as for other smart phones which may be cheaper or better in some aspects, remember, the iphones made by apple, that just makes it awesome.</p>

<p>Motorola Cliq 2 (Android). I like it a lot. It’s good to finally have a legit phone after years of dealing with terrible ones.</p>
<p>I have a Samsung Reality. I love it. It has a touch screen and a slide out keyboard, so there’s the best of both worlds there.</p>
