What prestigious colleges have kids gotten into from your highschool this year?

At my school, everyone was really disappointed that only 3 or 4 kids got into Ivies out of the 15+ who applied, but I think our final list looks good. What good (as a benchmark, I'll say top50 USNews or top25 LACs?) colleges have your classmates gotten into?

I'll start:
[ul]
[]Yale
[]Penn
[]Duke
[]Washington U StL
[]Northwestern
[]Cornell
[]U Chicago
[]Notre Dame
[]Vanderbilt
[]Carnegie Mellon
[]Georgetown
[]Univ. Virginia
[]UMich
[]Wake Forest
[]USC
[]Rochester
[]Case Western
[]NYU
[]BC
[]Syracuse
[]Colgate
[]Colby
[/ul]
And this isn't just one kid getting into all of those schools. Except three of those, I can pick out a unique acceptance at each school.

Well going to an average public we didn't fare so well, though plenty of us tried:

-Case Western
-Elon
-Olin
-Wake Forest

-Stanford
-MIT
-CalTech
-Berkeley

hehe our school didnt do so hot. a ton of rejections. our #1 kid got into MIT, UChicago, Northwestern, but got rejected from Yale.

including me, 4 of us have applied to USC but none of us have heard back yet :(

rdulay don't feel bad. I'm one of two USC applicants and neither of us have heard back

Princeton, Georgetown, NYU, Notre Dame, UNC-CH (OOS), Villanova, MIT, Wake Forest, Lehigh, Georgia Tech, Boston College (all different people). Not bad considering we only have 265 kids and an average SAT of 1040 kids in a Public HS.

Harvard (1)
Princeton (2, one was a lacrosse player)
Penn (at least four or five, and at least two were for lacrosse)
Stanford (3, me, a runner, and a football player)
Darthmouth (1, lacrosse)
Cornell (at least one)
Northwestern (one)
Syracuse (at least one)
BC (a lot -- we're a Jesuit school and send a lot of kids to Jesuit schools)
Georgetown (a lot)

Don't know the numbers for these:
Villanova
Notre Dame
USC
Carnegie-Mellon
NYU
UVA

One school that killed us was WUSTL. 0/6 --everyone was waitlisted

Not bad for a class of 120 guys.

Harvard and Yale with full scholarship. It's the first time someone from my school has gotten into harvard out of 14 years of history.

Somebodynew, I go to a Jesuit HS also. We're sending at least 10 kids to BC and 3 or 4 to georgetown. I love it!

you guys pale in comparison to TJ kids

http://www.tjhsst.edu/~louyang/college/destinations

A couple MITs, Berkeley and UCLA, TONS of kids to USC, and one Yale (a legacy going back several generations).

My school got killed this year. Usually we have one or two superstars who get in just about everywhere, but this year was like a massacre. So many stayed home on Friday recovering from the Thursday mail/emails. I don't want to see what's going to happen tomorrow. It'll be brutal.

firewalker, they are TJ kids.

They are nerds.

They are awesome.

But our ultimate frisbee team kicked their team's asses.
Therefore, Georgetown Prep > TJ.

Don't know numbers too well..
5 or so Cornell
1 Brown
3 UPenn
1 Columbia
1 Dartmouth
1 Princeton
2 MIT
A few Tufts/Emory/Vanderbilt
2 Duke

We've got two MITs, a Yale, a Rice, and a Princeton, from my current knowledge - which is saying something, considering the lack of prestige our HS has.

From a Canadian school that doesn't send many kids to the States (for the reason that it's simply not worth it when McGill is right here)...note that some kids were accepted to multiple schools:

USC
NYU
Princeton
Cambridge
Chicago
Georgetown
Middlebury
Northwestern
Penn
Vassar

School in CA:

Duke
UCLA
UCB
Carnegie Mellon

There's more, but I can't remember...

our school did fine, but got rocked compared to last year. but hey, im not complaining :)

Basically every good school you've ever heard of.

Everyone went to the 1% schools

This year we had:
Olin
Cornell
Wake Forest
and other but I don't really remember...not that bad considering we're in Costa Rica

I know there were at least:
3 to Harvard
3 to Brown
2 to Columbia
6 to UPenn
No one here ever applies to CA schools-it is discouraged to do so. We have had a few applicants to Berkeley and Los Angeles, but when admitted the students always choose other school.
