What Program?

Hey guys

I was doing the online application

and I was wondering what the most popular program is at Mcgill.

I'm interested in business or economics, so I was wondering if the "Faculty of Arts" is a good choice for me

Also, how much more selective is the "Faculty of Arts and Science"

thanks

also how selective is faculty of management

This site will give you all the information you need on size of faculties and number of students from each country: http://www.mcgill.ca/arr/registration-statistics/

This will give you some idea of admission chances, http://www.mcgill.ca/arr/profile/

Hope this helps.

hey guys, to answer your questions:

if you're interested in economics, than you could probably go into either arts or management, depending on whether or not you want more freedom to take arts electives or to follow the core management program. To answer the second question, I actually am one of the BA+Sc students, and it is much more selective than arts. BA+Sc had somewhere near 5500 applicants and there are only 188 of us, compared to probably near a few thousand for arts.

In my case, I was just taking arts courses and found that economics was the only thing that really intersted me in arts. I couldnt find a lot else in the calander that suited me, so I am going to switch to management. As far as I know, its not extremely competitive, but its worth applying to: the number of people who love it strongly outweigh those who don't.

If you're interested in economics AND business I would recommend doing management. strongly recommend. you don't want the added problem of potentially having to switch to management. In my opinion it would be much easier to transfer into arts just because their program allows much more flexibility.
