What do y’all think I can do to spice up my application?
I would be very surprised if you didn’t get in. Have you considered other schools such as USC or UCLA?
Yes, USC is my top choice and so is UCLA but they are one of the most applied to colleges in the country. I don’t know if I can stand out from other applicants.
Ok. I’m planning on applying to all three next year as well.
Your GPA and NMSF are both big pluses. I️ don’t see any weaknesses with your application. Sold, if unspectacular Extracurriculars and a solid SAT score. If you could get the SAT into the 1500s it would be nice since USC is known to weight standardized tests on the application more than most colleges, while the UC GPA is very GPA heavy. I’m not on the admissions committee, so this is just an opinion.
Thank you! What major are you planning on applying to?
SUPER likely. Don’t even worry
@Medpronia I’m planning on applying to Dornsife for Political Science. My GPA isn’t as high due to a health problem freshman year and part of sophomore year, but I️ started to really do well sophomore year and this year. I️ also got a 34 on my ACT and may try to take it again to get a 35. I️ feel with good essays I️ have a decent shot
Good luck! A 34 is a great score on the ACT, but there’s also room for improvement. Can’t wait for these college applications next year
LMU is a safety for you.
You are a competitive applicant. Your stats and ECs are great for Loyola. Write good essays and you could easily be accepted
