What’re my chances

Hi guys, I’m applying to transfer to the University of Miami for Fall 2019 and wanted to know what my chances are.

Here’s a little background:

2014, spent a semester in college as an athlete, and got a terrible 2.1 GPA. After that semester, I left school, and joined the military. After three years in the military, I’ve started school again, and since starting school back up, I’ve maintained a 3.6 GPA. Problem is, my 2.1 GPA from my old school 3 years ago weighs my 3.6 GPA down to a 3.2 overall GPA. I’ve obviously matured a lot since then, and become a WAY better student. I’m a Psychology Pre-Medical major.

What’re my chances?

I’m sure they’ll take the fact that you were an athlete into consideration, since playing a sport in college along with the school work is hard to manage. They’ll probably also recognize that you were in the military (which could help boost the chances) and have done really well in school since coming home. Can’t give you an exact percentage, but I’m sure the chances will be 50% at the minimum. Hope this helps.

Thanks! I just needed a ballpark, I applied SUPER early and now I have to wait until May to get a decision so the waiting is eating me up haha
