Also, it has been suggested, and I plan on interviewing at some of these schools, which should skew my chances in the positive direction.

All of those school look like safe/matches with stats like yours, you might even want to look at some more reach schools. Don't underestimate yourself.

best of luck

Thanks for your input. I've been told that for Holyoke/Geneseo I'm pretty iffy.

Hm, I can't seem to edit my posts, so I guess I have to make a new one. I wrote more last night, but I guess it got cut off.

Some of the more questionable parts of my application include the 2 I got on the AP Physics exam last year, but I kind of included that in my essay and explained it. I also failed a quarter of math in soph year, and didn't take one as a junior. =/

With those stats, you can definitely aim higher. Think about it.

Hm. What would you recommend?

With your stats you should aim for schools ranked between 20-50 (make sure you get a good set of reach/match/safeties). I'd offer some suggestions, but I have no idea what schools are good for philosophy :/

What races?

Thanks, I'll look into it. I'm trying to keep to smaller schools too :)

The two over represented ones. I'm Japanese/Irish

perhaps nyu,u of maryland-cp, penn-state??

Hm. I'm really not a fan of NYU. I'd much prefer to go to a school that actually has a campus, and I find it to be way to large and impersonal with too large of a proportion fo its classes being taught by a TA.

I'll consider the others though :)

Today was the last day at my school to get your transcripts sent out by January first, so I guess my list is basically finalized. Thanks :)

Hm. Applications have been sent. Anyone want to continue to assess my chances now that everything is beyond my control?

What's ur top choice out of that list?
you are wasting money on the schools you applied knowing u'll get in all of them.
