Christian
Sorta Catholic, sorta Eastern Orthodox

Christian. Actually, a southern baptist, though i'm not judgemental. After all, the Bible says to love all people. Regardless of religion or sexual orientation.

Actually, from what my youth group pastor told me. Satan actually created religion. 99% of "christians" don't know who the real Jesus and the holy spirit.

Strange that there are so many people on this thread claiming to be religious (I mean, compared to our past 'what religion do you adhere to' threads.)

Theistic Resistentialism (Of the Christian subgroup)

Interesting replies....glad to see others like me. I too do not judge based on ones sexual orientation. Weird being raised Roman Catholic...I know. Now for part two: Based on comparing your religion to your political views..do they match up (stereotypically speaking of course)...

I mean I am pro choice and am for gay marriage myself, yet most of my fellow church members do not see eye to eye.

Responses Begin!

I'm Catholic and I'm a lefty. There isn't a really a stereotype for Catholics since we're basically the swing vote (the winner almost always has a Catholic majority). I'm one of those Catholics that chooses political sides based on the part of my religious views the government is actually related to.

music is my religion (with a buddhist influence) ... and independent/democratic

Deist (But accepting of all beliefs :) )

NEWTON ROCKS!!!

I'm agnostic

Oh boy, let the flame war begin. Kidding...

Like I said, I'm Christian, but I tend to lean toward the liberal side of the spectrum. I'm completely, 110% for gay rights.

The only conservative view I have is that of abortion (I'm pro-life).

another catholic here. i am glad to see others who think like i do. i consider myself to be a liberal. i think people of all sexual orientations should be treated equally. i am, however, pro-life, though that is the only conservative view i really have.

I'm Christian

I go to a school where the kids are the stereotypical conservative Bible thumpers, but I didn't think Catholics would be so polarized when it came to politics. Here's an article from 2005, but it's still interesting.
