So far, it seems like 5 Steps to a 5 is the best for Econ. How about Bio? I'm biased to go for the major brands, Barron's and Princeton, but apparently Amazon reviewers like Cliffnotes for some reason (though their US History review books are riddled with errors). What would you recommend?

i’m using cliffs for bio and its great! covers the topic very well. however it doesnt really correspond with EVERYTHING from campbell so thats a minus… im also using barron’s. this year’s edition seems to be pretty useful… but for just review guide i would pick cliffs

Cliff’s is the AP Bio BIBLE. It’s actually pretty much one of the few (if not the only) really good review book from Cliff’s. As you mentioned, the rest are fairly horrible.

Cliff’s may not correspond with Campbell’s (which I don’t really agree with anyways, because I never found any discrepancies other than the ordering of the content) but that’s because Campbell’s has a lot of superfluous information that you do not need to know (granted, if you enjoy biology, it’s still enjoyable to read).

Trust me… Cliff’s, Cliff’s, Cliff’s… and you won’t regret. This question is asked at least on a daily basis around here and the overwhelming majority always recommends Cliff’s. I used it and got a 5.

+1 for Cliffs for Bio

Agree that 5 Steps to a 5 is best for Economics

Cliffs for AP Bio, hands down. I almost failed my AP Bio class, but I spent the last month before the AP exam using cliffs as a guide, and I ended up getting a 5. It’s a great review book, and it covers everything that you’ll see on the exam. There’s no other book that comes close, in my opinion.
