What room...

...did you get and where?

I got Unit 3 :)...in a triple :O

I heard the triples is the units suck. They are really small.

Hence the “:O” but thanks for emphasizing a fact that I already know of. For all my choices I put doubles :(

(But I do hear the triples in Unit 3 are slightly bigger because there is a chance of getting a corner triple - which is bigger. Keeping my hopes up.)

Haha sorry. I like unit 3 though, it’s close to campus and it seems really social. I also put doubles for all my choices but got put in a triple in ckc :/.

Back when I applied for housing, I wasn’t sure what any of the dorms were like, so I just put the “any dorm” option…I got put into a Double at the Foothill. I dunno if I should be happy or not, haha

A unit triple is not that bad. I really wanted a double for my first year as well but was put into a triple. However, the living situation in a triple was very manageable even with little space. We still had extra storage space between the three of us. In the end, I was glad to be a triple because it was the cheapest option!

Yeah, anyone sad about their “triple” should look at the prices. I just about cried when I looked at the price for my double  sniff, sniff

Wanna trade :b (my financial aid would have covered a double too ): )

Ooh, I’ve been having a question about Financial Aid…you know on the MyFinAid application? At the bottom of the page, there’s a number under “Expected Family Contribution”, is that the actual $ my family has to pay?
 If anyone knows

I don’t know exactly but from what I hear it is * expected * family contribution…and so if you (the student) can work and pay more or get scholarships you can pay some of it…Again I vaguely remember that from my CalSO when people were answering questions but my memory is pretty bad ]:

no that is what the government thinks that it is reasonable for your family to pay but not what berkeley will make you pay. most of the time your family ends up paying more than your efc unless you at a school with very good FA
