AHH!! haha i'm dying over here! lol..i'm not sure what other subject test i should take...i already took US History..and got a 670..expected a 700+ but oh well. Now i dont know what other subject to take! I suck at math...so i know the math IIc would be hard for me. I know nothing about literature..and how would i even be able to prep for that? Then i was thinking about a foreign language..but idk if i can even do that!!! and let's not even talk about the sciences. I need help...what should i take!!!

Take the other history?

World History is supposedly easier than US.

It's generally preferred that you've taken either IC or IIC. If you've done well in precalc, you should take IIC. If not, IC is fine.

You could take a foreign language test this fall after hardcore prepping over the summer. Grammar, vocabulary, etc. You aren't writing essays or anything, so it's more straightforward.

The sciences really aren't that bad. Realize that bio is all about understanding trends and memorizing definitions. Chemistry doesn't even allow using a calculator because it's more conceptual.

Thanks for the suggestion guys! I wish i could take world history..but the UC's require subjects in different areas of study. I think i should rule the sciences out...since i've never taken an honors/ap class for a science class. Um I did ok in pre-calc(Honors)..i got a B lol but it was hard to get...but there were only like 3 A's in the class.

Sorry for being a little off topic here, but would taking U.S. History during sophomore year (about two years ago) help me with SAT II U.S. History test? I just finished taking A.P. European History, but I doubt that would help me much on the World History test, so I don't think I'll be taking that.

cali, there's no need to guess. you should get the CB's Real SAT II's book and just try the practice tests for Math 2 and Literature. It sounds like these are your only decent options. The Lit test is not an easy test, but you can study (and practice) for it in much the same way you would for the SAT Reading section.

ok thanks 2400. Can you recommend a book for lit?

ok, sorry you had to bump. I've used both the Kaplan and Princeton Review books. Neither is perfect, but Kaplan's coverage of literary terms/devices is much more detailed. Neither book has practice tests that are quite hard enough. The passages aren't as sophisticated as the real thing.

I would get the Kaplan book to practice from, but save the one real College Board test to use as your final "dress rehearsal."

Good luck.
