What SAT Score Should I aim for?

Interested in applying to Yale, Stanford, Harvard, Columbia, etc. My current practice tests are floating around 2300. I looked in the Yale and Harvard EA decision threads and all the SAT scores for Asian males are around 2350ish.

Just wondering what SAT score I should aim for to give me a good chance at these schools.

Thanks in advance.

2300 is a great SAT score, quite enough for those schools. However, anyone can improve given time and more practice. If you want to increase your score into an even better score, by all means go ahead. But right now, you're fine.

Aim for 2400.

That is, try your best on every question. Don't purposely miss some.

What I mean is. Say I got a 2300 in october (which i can only hope i will). Should I retake with the aim of 2350?

it also depends on the break down...if, for example, you score much better on the verbal than math, then you might want to retake. If somehow, you get more than 100 point difference in your sections (which you shouldnt with a 2300, but bear with me), then you should retake it.
