What SAT Subject Scores are good enough for Harvard?

I'm a sophomore and just took the SAT World. It was really hard, I left 10 blank and missed a few. The curve is really high though, so I feel like I might get around a 750.

However, since I'm aiming for Harvard, I don't want to take a risk and potentially do bad on it. I am thinking about just canceling the score in advance.

I will take Math II and Chem probably this October. I think I'll do really well on those.

So should I just wait and see what I got for World History? Or should I cancel? Because I don't want anything below a 750...

What is a good score?

Thanks

Oh heavens, don’t cancel it. I don’t think SAT II scores matter that much, but it would be good to show Harvard that you can do a humanity, as well as math and chem. Therefore, I think getting a 700+ would be a net positive to your application.

(Does Harvard not require 3 SAT IIs? It’s been a while since I applied, so my memory is fuzzy and even if I’m remembering right, they may have changed it, but I thought they did.)

^They only require two now

Definitely don’t cancel. Harvard respects score choice, so if you get back a score you are unhappy with, just don’t send it. Might as well see what you’ll make.

700+ in your SAT subject tests and you are good to go :)

Harvard says take 2 but the fine print says they encourage you to take more to show proficiency in your subjects. Since they give you a waiver or waiver test if you score 700 in language (so I have heard), it may be considered a good number.
