I have two SAT Subject Tests (Chem and US History) that are in the lower 700s at the moment. I plan on taking Bio M and Chem again in January (NU accepts January subject test scores) and am confident I will get at least 750s on both of them as I will be studying vigorously for both of them. What SAT2 scores does NU want and what does the average admitted applicant usually get on his/her subject tests?

700+ is good
750+ is excellent

A 700+ would never HURT your app (unless it’s like a 700 Math IIc), so don’t worry.

I am absolutely terrible at Math on standardized tests; I never seem to pull high above 600.

I took the SAT II’s a little while ago, and I would like to send my scores for Literature (780) and US History (800) to Northwestern. Is it worth it if I have to send my Math I score of 650?

Oh my lord! YES!!! A Literature score of 780 is almost unheard of! SEND IT NOW!

hahaha but seriously, that’s an amazing score, and you have a perfect in the other. I would most definitely send all three; they’ll probably just realize you aren’t a math student which is fine! Unless you plan on majoring in mathematics…

Hahaha. No, I definitely don’t intend on majoring in math. Thanks. I think I’ll probably send it later today.
