I’m an African American woman, who is not exactly in financial need (middle class). My GPA is around a 4.53 and I have a few ECs(Team captain of robotics, NHS, tutoring, etc) and I’ve accumulated over 700+ community service hours, but it’s hard finding scholarships that aren’t based on or surrounded by serious financial need. Any tips?
What is approx AGI? The best merit aid comes from the colleges themselves, if you pick ones that award it, because it is renewed every year. Outside awards are limited, sometimes to students with need, and often are smaller one time awards. Still it is worth applying. Probably you can get a good list from @CourtneyThurston who posts here and won some that you may be eligible for

What are your ACT and SAT and PSAT scores? Are you starting your senior year of high school soon?
My SAT score was an 1890 and my ACT score is projected to be a 27 and I plan on getting it higher before my test in September
What schools are you interested in? What is your resident state? What is your intended field of study?
Are you applying to general Arts and Sciences or to engineering?
I’m interested in Davis, Irvine, Berkeley, San Diego, and LA among the UCs and SJSU, SDSU, and the Cal Polys from the Cal States. I also live in California and I’m planning to major in either computer science, computer engineering, or applied mathematics.
For UCs, probably for the mathematics through the arts and sciences and for cal states engineering
OK, well you get few if any scholarships from the UC and CSU but they do have the benefit in instate pricing. So you are searching for outside scholarships which is a lot of work and effort. You may or may not get any, so you can’t plan on that. I already gave you one link for scholarship search. This is something you have to do on your own, this forum doesn’t really do outside.scholarship search for people, although there are subforums you should browse.
